LAKE COMO

 
Lake Como is the deepest lake in Italy and is located in the region of Lombardy, north to side of Milan. The southern part of the lake is formed by two branches. On the East there is the town of Lecco, Varenna, Bellano and Valsassina Valley, on the west branch there is the town of Como, Cernobbio, Tremezzo, the Switzerland border is very close. Bellagio, known for its sophisticated shops and luxury hotel, is the connection point between the two branches.

Lake Como offers a dynamic landscape and a good idea will be to explore it by car, to visit some of its luxury villas, to spend one day in the enchanting town of Lecco and make a day tour in Como , important center for “made in Italy” products. Both sides of the Lake are well connected by fast highway to Milan and are connected between them by ferries which run often.

EAST SIDE
Not famous like the west side, offers a great landscape, mountains and also day trip to St. Moritz (Switzerland). Starting from the town of Lecco you will drive north to Varenna, enchanting lakeside resort from which it is possible to catch a ferry to cross the lake.
Valsassina valley offers you a countryside experience between cheese producers, mushrooms and other typical products.
One hour driving you will cross the border and reach St. Moritz, an exclusive ski resort.

WEST SIDE
Starting from the elegant town of Como, famous for shopping, you will drive north through Via Regina which offers panoramic views of the lake. Parks and luxury villas offers good alternative to explore the lake. From Tremezzo or Cadenabbia is possible to catch a ferry to Bellagio or to cross the lake to visit the other side.
