GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The farm holiday Il Portone is located on the green hills of Abbateggio, in the heart of Majella National Park. The farm holiday is the result of a carefull restoration which preserved the original elements of rural architecture. The natural environment is the ideal starting point for biking, mountain bike excursions, short and long trekking. The entire agriturismo hosts up to 23 people and is renne by Giancarlo & Donatella  a young, nice couple originally from here.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
The agriturismo is composed by 9 bedrooms and it can hosts a maximum of 23 guests. Il Portone is a familiar and authentic place, an excellent starting point to explore the region of Abruzzo out of the beaten tracks. Each bedroom has independent entrance and a panoramic view on Lejo Valley. All the bedrooms have been carefully restored and all of them have their own bathroom. There is no TV in the bedroom. TV and internet connection are available in the common living room. Please consider that even if there is no air condition, the surrounding is always cool because of the location between the mountains. Price includes always breakfast. If you would like to taste typical food, we highly recommend to book the dinner in agriturismo.

THE SURROUNDING
This area hides a loto f treasures. The Majella’sky resort to enjoy winter sports or for trekking during the summer is only few minutes away. Caramanico Terme, thermal centre, the Natural Reserve of Orfento Valley, the archeological site of the Giumentina Valley, the refuges of Celestino V, the abbey of San Liberatore a Majella, are few examples of benedectine and cistercian architecture. The coastal town of Pescara renomated for its bars, shopping, universities is only 30 minutes away.
