Description
TORRE FLO is a unique sea-side residence set in a fantastic location at the edge of Positano, one of the most picturesque beach resorts on the Amalfi Coast. Torre Flo was a citadel built by the Normans in the 13th century and 600 years later the architect Gilbert Claved began its renewal inspired by the beauty of the site and its surroundings. Because of its unique location, architecture and history, Torre Flo is one of the most prestigious villas on the Amalfi coast. Framed on one side by the charming village of Positano and with a breathtaking view of the open sea on the other, it is the perfect spot to spend your vacation.
 

Inside the Villa
TORRE FLO is divided into three separate units, each with its own unique design and furnishings. Each of the three units are spread over a number of levels and connected by passageways and corridors that integrate harmoniously with the villas style and ambience.

Unit One – LA TORRE
This unit is situated on the lower part of the villa and is divided into three levels with a fully equipped modern kitchen on the lower level. Here also you will find a double bedroom – the Blue Room – with an en-suite bathroom and windows overlooking the sea and the resort of Positano. On the second level is a single bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a small balcony overlooking the sea and the islands of "Isole Dei Galli". In addition, there is a spacious living room with magnificent views of the sea and Positano, a small refrigerator, a television and a CD/Tape player.
The third level has another double bedroom with en-suite bathroom – the "Yellow Room" and an internal staircase leading to the roof terrace with a spectacular 360o view of the surrounding countryside, sea and coastline.
A balcony circles the tower on three sides and includes a south facing terrace with a tiled floor designed and executed by the renowned ceramic artist Ernestine.

Unit Two – LE SIRENE
This unit is also divided into three levels. On the first level is "Sirene", a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and windows facing west. The second level consists of the "Diamond room", a single bedroom with windows overlooking Positano and a private bathroom. There is also a satellite TV and a ceiling fan. The third level has a new, fully equipped, corner kitchen, a spacious living room and dining area, another satellite TV and a portable CD/Tape player with radio.
Le Sirene has a large terrace from where you have a breathtaking view of the Isole dei Galli and the Amalfi coast. Barbeque furniture and equipment is also available.
Unit Three – PORTICATO
Porticato is a two level unit. The lower level has a large, tiled terrace for dining and relaxing with a large wooden table capable of seating all the villas' guests. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with a view overlooking Positano. Please note, that the caretakers apartment is also on this floor, but as it has its own, private, access, your privacy is guaranteed. The second level has a large double bedroom – the "Green" room that opens onto a terrace with a stunning view of Positano. The "Green" room shares a fully equipped bathroom with an additional single bedroom, known as the "Library". This bedroom has large double doors that also lead to the terrace. In addition, there is new half bathroom for guests on this floor.

Amenities and services at the Villa
This villa is exceptional as your stay includes the services of a housekeeper, a cook and a maid for your meals. Bed linen is changed twice a week and there are two cots available for children up to the age of three. In addition, you can hire a boat, with or without the services of a licensed captain to cruise the sea and visit surrounding beauty spots. Please be aware that due to the many staircases, passageways and corridors, the villa is not suitable for those unsteady on their feet and that children should be supervised by adults. Access to Torre Flo is either via water taxi from the main beach or by crossing Fornillo Beach by foot and climbing the stairway to the villa's private entrance. It is not possible to reach the villa by car. Another point to note is that as the villa is surrounded by natural countryside you may come into contact with insects, ants, lizards and other small creatures. 

The area around the Villa

Torre Flo sits on a rocky outcrop jutting into a turquoise sea, reachable only by boat or by a footpath from one of Positano's main beaches. From the terrace you can look seaward toward the islands of Capri and Isole Dei Galli. It is well worth visiting Positano which offers cafés, shops and restaurants for whiling away an afternoon or evening. Visitors are also sure to enjoy a scenic drive along the coastal road, the SS145, stopping at Praiano and Amalfi and afterwards the renowned hillside town of Ravello, with the incomparable view from the famous garden of Villa Rufolo. Other excursions possible include a boat trip to the island of Capri, a visit to Napoli, or a day exploring Pompei and Herculaneum, the fascinating ruins of ancient cities destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in the 1st century A.D. Please remember that all the roads in Costiera Amalfitana are very narrow and busy (especially in the high season). We recommend that you drive carefully and, if possible, hire a motorbike.

Notes
• IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO REACH THE HOUSE BY CAR. You reach the Torre by water taxi directly from the main beach of Positano, or on foot by crossing Fornillo beach and taking the stairway to the private entrance gate and path.
• Late arrival is not possible and must arrive by 6 pm at the latest.
• The villa is not suitable for people with walking difficulties
• Monday or Saturday arrivals are preferred. For arrival on other days please enquire.
